Chester Cricket needs support. That's the communication John Robin carries in to the Moments Square subway station where Harry Cat and Tucker Mouse live. Quickly, Chester's friends tripped on the very long, hard quest to the Ancient Meadow, where all isn't well.Houses are creeping better. Bulldozers and development are everywhere. It appears like Chester and his good friends' home will get ruined and the kids of the city won't have a destination to enjoy. Harry Cat and Tucker Mouse are being used to metropolis life. Now they have to glimpse for a destination to stay and good stuff to eat. And almost all of all they must think about a plan--a special intend to help their friends.

ABOUT The AUTHOR:
George Selden (1929-1989) was first the writer of The Cricket found in Times Square, champion of the 1961 Newbery Honor and a good timeless children's vintage. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Selden received his B.A good. from Yale, where he was an associate of the Elizabethan Golf club and contributed to the literary magazine. He put in three summer classes at Columbia University and, after university, studied for a 12 months in Rome on a Fulbright Scholarship.
Persons often asked Selden how he got the theory for The Cricket found in Times Square. "One night time I was coming house on the subway, and I did so listen to a cricket chirp in the changing times Square subway station. The tale formed in my own mind within a few minutes. An author is quite thankful for moments like those, although they happen all as well infrequently." The favorite Cricket series grew to seven titles, incorporating Tucker's Countryside and The Aged Meadow. In 1973, The Cricket in Occasions Square was converted to an animated film. Selden wrote a lot more than fifteen literature, and also two takes on. His storytelling blends the marvelous with the commonplace realities of existence, and it was necessary to him that his animal character types display true thoughts and feelings.
